As a hobbyist photographer, this is welcome news and even more reason to bring my iPad along with me during shoots.As a professional photographer this thing is (and always will be) an "App Store" toy - nothing more.

To understand this you would have to go back to the late 1970's when GM introduced the 5.7L V8 Oldsmobile Diesel. In theory the idea was good. Produce an engine that has much better fuel economy, but still has enough torque to pull around a large car. In reality this engine and other GM passenger car diesels are responsible for scaring away generations of Americans from ever owning a diesel car. I don't think you will find many people from 40 years old and up that are not aware of the GM diesel nightmare. To this day the word diesel and passenger car in the same sentence scares them.
Today's diesels are much better and are well engineered and should last much longer then 40-50,000 miles, but something so bad in the past can haunt for years to come.
I don't really buy that excuse anymore. The GM diesel fiasco was over 30 years ago, and most modern buys don't even know about it. I think it has more to do with the fact that in the US, diesel is more expensive than gas, sometimes by a wide margin. I know in my area, the difference is 25-30 cents/gallon. As far as the image problem, I think it stems more from people seeing semis and heavy equipment using diesels. Most people associate diesel with semis, heavy duty trucks, and construction equipment. And most of those are loud and belch smoke.

I used SnowTunes Noir (http://cristomac24.deviantart.com/art/SnowTunes-iTunes-OS-X-theme-141310715) (it's part of the download, there's three versions in one installer, both Noir and HUD are dark, just different styles). It's been working well for a long time now.

I don't mind spending $80 on a paper clip which can hold and play 240 mp3's!
Also, I can totally see girls using it as a hair clip - mp3 player! :D

MUAHAAHA. Both of this chucklehead's crap auctions have been nullified and zapped into the ether by eBay. The original link is dead and searching the seller's past auctions yields no iphone auctions...only a fugly handbag he used when he was crossdressing. What OS are you running and version and how did you get it to look that good?
It's Ubuntu Linux, with the Ambience Refined (http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Ambiance+Refined?content=125686) theme, Android fonts and the GNOME Do dock replacing the standard GNOME bottom panel. The desktop calender is Rainlendar Pro (which is also available for OS X) and syncs nicely with Google Calendar, so it pushes events to my iPhone. It's a really tasty setup if I'm honest, if I didn't need Logic, I'd be tempted to switch totally from OS X.

If it does go down, ustream.tv will change the stream to a better server, they've done it in the past for video streams of MWSF08 and the special event they had back in March, both thanks to iPhone Alley.

Question...anyone know where i can change the SD card and jumpdrive icons in Candybar?
I thought they showed up in the Device pane when they were plugged in. Is that not how it works with jump drives and SD cards?

I hope this means we will see HDMI out on the next MacBook Pros. I really want to be able to use my soon-to-be-had MacBook Pro Core2Duo as a media center too. With that said, here's to hoping the new MBPs have HDMI and the ability to output Dolby PLII and at least 1080i. My current 1.25ghz G4 book chokes on 720p so I never hook it up to my plasma HDTV.
